My professional background is in software engineering, with a focus on 3D graphics. As a developer, I have been employed in entertainment and automotive industries, and working on a freelance basis for a while. My experience is diverse, including: virtual reality applications, game development, special effects for movie productions, general UI development, custom 3D frameworks, mobile astronomy apps.
The scientist and researcher in me made me obtain a PhD in Computer Science (from the Computer Graphics group at the Max-Planck-Institut für Informatik in Saarbrücken), and an MS in Medical Physics (from TU Kaiserslautern).
Over the last couple of years, my interest in art & storytelling has grown and manifested itself in drawing, painting, 3D modeling, and writing. I am always looking for ways to bring my interests together, which led to my current main occupation as an independent game developer. I regularly post updates regarding that avenue on my twitter account.
