In a nutshell, you could say I am a software engineer with a love for computer graphics, art, and science. I have been working in entertainment and automotive industries, working on virtual reality applications, character animation in game development, special effects for movie productions, and general UI development.
I am holding a PhD in Computer Science (from the Computer Graphics group at the Max-Planck-Institut für Informatik in Saarbrücken), and an MS in Medical Physics (from TU Kaiserslautern).
Currently living in Munich, Germany, I work as a freelance software developer, mobile app developer, and comic author.
Since I started to draw and paint a few years ago (mostly online from the many, many incredible artists out there sharing their knowledge), I’ve been musing about the similarities and differences between making software and making art – both being demanding creative activities.
As my passion for art grows and demands more attention, I seek out ways to combine both worlds. This website is as much my portfolio website as a blog discussing the intersections between making art and making software.
